TrackCouture made its way into NASCAR
in 2004 when they introduced a line of apparel for women. Now the
Memphis-based company is set to dress NASCAR fans in the germinating
stage. The company has launched a line of baby clothes with pithy
slogans such as "I'm Tired". Get it? TIRE-D. Ha. Other slogans include:
"Checkered Star” and “Race Royalty” in their Pit Baby collection.
Liz Allison has set the women’s movement back 25 years with her new book The Girl's Guide to Winning a NASCAR Driver.
The book advises women on how to “land” a NASCAR driver for dating,
marriage and other garage shenanigans. Davey Allison’s widow advises
women how to dress, maximize their “assets” and how to act on pit road
to gain maximum exposure.
Is Liz this desperate for money?
NHRA fans, ever wonder what happened Rhonda Hartman-Smith? FastMachines.com
caught up with Smith. Although she is not currently racing on the NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing circuit her impact and popularity is still
apparent.
Ashley Force
is making waves. The airwaves that is! The 24-year-old Hottest Athlete
was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday night. “The
whole experience was really great,” said Force, who was featured in a
five-minute segment on the program. “This is definitely one of the
funnest interviews I have ever done.”
Congrats to Erin Crocker for finishing fifth at Chicagoland ARCA 200
at Chicagoland Speedway. The Wilbraham, Massachusetts native also
extended her point lead over Frank Kimmel in the Superspeedway
Challenge championship with just one superspeedway event remaining in
2007.
Danica Patrick
ended her 2007 IndyCar Series season seventh in points. Patrick brushed
off naysayers that compare her to tennis player Anna Kournikova. “She wasn’t all that bad,” Patrick says good-naturedly. “She was pretty darned good at tennis and obviously a pretty girl.
"If
I was a guy from the beginning, I have no idea where I'd be now. I like
to think I got here being who I am. I've gotten some negative stuff,
but what makes us go is our sponsorship and I definitely have an edge
as a female when it comes to marketing. There are still a lot of
positives being a girl.”
