Have you ever thought about how much water you use when you wash your
car? If you could find an environmentally-friendly way to wash your car
and save water, would you try it?
Enter the Green Earth Waterless Car Wash.
According to their web site, a typical car wash uses 20 - 45 gallons of
water per car. If you wash your car at home, you can use up to 140
gallons! For areas with a limited water supply, that’s a lot of water.
But Green Earth Waterless Car Wash hopes to change that.
The wash contains “organic soaps and surfactants” and
other “organic ingredients as its base.” They claim it can clean all
solid car surfaces including glass, paint, plastic, fiberglass, and
chrome. And they say that the more you use Green Earth Waterless Car
Wash, the less you need to wash you car. Wouldn’t that be nice?
They recommend that you use their special microfiber towels to clean
your car. And they sell a tire cleaner, too. If you live in the Los
Angeles area, they’ll even come to you!
While I’m always skeptical of product claims without actually seeing
them in action, I’m at least glad to see someone trying to produce a
green car wash product. And for $39.50 you can try
their car wash, tire shine, and microfiber towels. With 7-10 washes per
bottle, it actually sounds fairly reasonable… and worth checking out.
