James Kyson Lee, co-star of the NBC hit Television series, Heroes, is
onboard as the latest celebrity presenter for the star-studded 12th Annual Urban Wheel Awards (UWA)
taking place on January 15, 2008, at the majestic Fox Theatre in
Detroit. The Urban Wheels Awards, which is looked upon as the Academy
Awards of the automotive industry, will pay tribute to those pioneering
automotive industry leaders who transcend the mainstream and embrace
diversity to create and improve products and services that appeal to a
larger customer base.
This year's celebrity-filled event will be an evening to remember. The only forum to recognize the top African American, Asian, and Latino executives in the automotive and ancillary industries, the night will also include A-list entertainment, industry leaders, and Hollywood stars presenting the UWA awards to the winners in the 12 categories. The theme for this year's event will be "Fashion, Stars & Cars."
Lee was born in Seoul, Korea, and moved to the United States at the age of ten. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and, after graduation, studied Communications at Boston University and New England Institute of the Arts, where he also began performing in music, dance, and improvisation. He then moved to California and has appeared in numerous television shows such as CBS' "J.A.G.," NBC's "Las Vegas," "The West Wing," as well as ABC's "Threat Matrix," and Fox's "All About the Andersons." Additionally while starring in "Heroes," he will be starring in four feature films in 2008, including 20th Century Fox's "Shutter," "Do Over," "the Roel," and "Sleeping Rooms Only."

diverse group of worldwide "heroes" who are trying to save the world.
With his Asian heritage, he will be presenting a diversity award to
automotive executives whose vision is to improve and expand their
product to a global audience.
The 12th Annual Urban Wheel Awards will be presented during Press Week in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Celebrities Rosie Perez and Kevin Frazier will co-host, leading a star-studded cast of famous presenters to honor automotive manufacturers, executives, suppliers, dealers, advertising agencies, and motorsports organizations who have contributed to diversity in the industry. The list of celebrity presenters already includes Lisa Vidal, Funkmaster Flex, Musiq Soulchild, Amanda Amann, Sway Callaway, and many others.
In addition to honoring people and organizations, Urban Wheel Awards are also presented for the best new car and truck designed to suit the needs of urban drivers.
