Subaru retailers across the country are teaming up with local animal welfare agencies to host pet adoption events, collection drives, and other activities to kick off its annual #ShareTheLove event.
For the seventh year in a row, the ASPCA has been selected as one of the four national charity partners to participate in Subaru's “Share the Love” sales event. Last year alone, the ASPCA’s participation in the "Share the Love" campaign resulted in a donation from Subaru of more than $2 million. Since 2008, Subaru has donated more than $9 million to the ASPCA® through the "Share the Love” event and helped support more than 7,000 pet adoption events to date.
The ASPCA has been the voice for animals for 148 years, providing relief, care, and service to those in need. Whether it’s rescuing animals from abuse, introducing and enforcing more humane legislation, or supporting shelter communities, each donation furthers efforts to help animals live better lives.
In addition to the sales contributions, more than 100 pet adoption events will be taking place at Subaru retail stores across the country. These events vary from pet adoptions, collection and donation drives, pet pictures with Santa, and other fun activities. Please click here to find an event near you.
By the end of this year, Subaru will have donated $50 million to charity, one new Subaru at a time through its annual #ShareTheLove sales event.
For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from now until January 2, 2015, Subaru will donate $250 to the buyer’s choice of participating charities, up to $15,000,000 in total. Four national charities include the ASPCA, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Meals on Wheels Association of America, and the National Park Foundation. In addition to these four national partners, Subaru also selects more than 600 hometown charities to make a difference in local markets. Purchasers must make their charity designations by January 31, 2015. See subaru.com/share for details. A guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 will be made to each of the four national charities. All donations made by Subaru of America, Inc.
