Auto retailer UnitedAuto Group Inc. named Roger Penske Jr. their new president and Robert O'Shaughnessy as the new CFO.

Roger
Penske Jr., son of UnitedAuto Chairman (and famed race car driver)
Roger Penske, was previously the group’s Executive VP of Eastern
Operations and has been with the company for six years.
Penske
will now be responsible for UnitedAuto's relationships with automakers
and he will oversee the company's construction partners as well as
continue to manage operations of the eastern region.
O'Shaughnessy
had been senior vice president of finance. He has worked for UnitedAuto
for 10 years. James Davidson, the former CFO, retired on Wednesday,
Jan. 3rd, however, he will continue to work with UnitedAuto part time.
Whitfield
Ramonat, central region Executive VP, will add responsibilities in the
company's Financial Services organization and field training. Also,
George Brochick, 57, Executive VP of western operations, will manage
operations of UnitedAuto's dealerships in Mexico.
According to
Automotive News, UnitedAuto Group, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., ranks
No. 2 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 dealership groups in
the United States, with new-vehicle retail sales of 178,157 units in
2005.
