This year at the LA Auto Show, YouTube influencer and car DIYer Jessicann teams up with AskPatty.com founder Jody DeVere to host Girls’ Pit Stop, a female-focused space dedicated to empowering and educating women to learn more about cars.
Taking place at the LA Convention Center from December 1-10, Girls’ Pit Stop will present an incredible line up of female mechanics, race car drivers, and marketing experts. Women from various lanes of the automotive industry will be at Girls’ Pit Stop hosting engaging workshops and inspiring demos ranging from basic car maintenance to auto detailing to car rebuilds to shopping for new cars.
Girls’ Pit Stop can be found in The Garage Aftermarket Powered by Prestone. The Garage at the LA Auto Show is where car culture lives. Accessible under South Hall (look for the big Garage banner), you will find one of the world's largest and most exciting collections of renowned tuners, customized exotics, and aftermarket goods and services. In 2016, customized vehicles from McLaren, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati, Ferrari, and Porsche were featured.
Last year, Jessicann hosted the first-ever female-focused booth in the history of the LA Auto Show. After doing some research on female drivers and consumers, she found that 51% of driver’s license holders are women, 62% of new cars are purchased by women, 65% of car repair customers are women, and a whopping 85% of car buying decisions are influenced by women! With these numbers, Jessicann couldn’t believe there wasn’t more programming catered towards women at the LA Auto Show, so she decided to start Girls’ Pit Stop. Now with Girls' Pit Stop in its second year, Jessicann and Jody are determined to take it to the next level by curating an amazing group of women car experts and partners who are passionate about bringing car education to the female audience.
