CarsMagazine.com to launches Ask Patty with automotive advisory panel of
industry expert women.
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) June 19, 2006 -- CarsMagazine.com has announced that
Debbie Lee, owner of Professionals Car Care, will join the automotive advisory
panel of industry-expert women of their new woman’s portal, Ask Patty. The Ask
Patty website (http://www.askpatty.com) launched June 8, 2006 in conjunction
with Carsmagazine.com and provides a safe place for women to get advice on car
purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics online.
In her
automotive advisory role, Lee will respond to questions via the website. “As a
member of the expert panel of women for Ask Patty, I hope to assist consumer
women with best practices on car care.” said Lee. "I am excited to join the Ask
Patty team of expert automotive advisors! I started my career in the automotive
industry, at the age of 18, while caught in a dilemma on which basketball
scholarship to accept. Then, when I hurt my knee and had no clear picture in
front of me, I answered an ad in the newspaper that read 'lot boy wanted' -- I
took that job!” Lee started out washing vehicles, learning inventory control,
detailing vehicles, making deliveries and doing all the so-called “lot boy” jobs
they could find. “I LOVED it! So, as the wheel turns, so to speak, I moved
through various jobs at that dealership learning all I could until, three months
later, I was in management. I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences to
help other women!”
Two years later, Lee started her own detailing
company, now known as ‘Professionals Car Care’ that provides detailing services
to automotive and recreation vehicle dealerships throughout Southern California.
They clean an average of 5,000 vehicles per day in one form or another with many
of those vehicles owned by clients she has serviced since 1983. Professionals
Car Care also provides cleaning services for many automotive and RV shows and
events.
“I want to thank CarsMagazine.com and Mr. Peter Martin for their
foresight in providing this incredible avenue for the female consumer. Ask Patty
will lead the way towards informed, educated vehicle purchases by women
nationwide as well as industry awareness overall.”
“We are very pleased
to have Debbie Lee on the automotive advisory board,” says Jody DeVere,
President of Ask Patty ”. DeVere continues, “Many people, including a surprising
number of car dealers, still believe negotiating and buying a vehicle is a man’s
job but we know that 80% of car buying decisions are influenced by women and 50%
of car purchases are made by women!” According to DeVere provides the safe
environment for women to get advice and information needed to feel empowered and
confident when they negotiate and purchase a new or used vehicle.
Peter
Martin, President of CarsMagazine.com added, “Lee’s acceptance of her role on
the advisory panel of expert automotive women for Ask Patty will help foster
trust and credibility with women consumers”.
Lee is very active in her
community, environmental organizations and classes, continuing education and the
daily hands-on running of her three companies. Along with Professionals Car Care
Lee also owns Compliance 1st Cleaning, and Total Satisfaction a line of private
labeled detailing products that will be available Summer 2006.
