AskPatty at The Green Motorist "The Green Motorist Featured on Girlie Car Blog, AskPatty"
AskPatty is a car blog written, run, and dedicated to women. They recently had a blog carnival up, and our green car blog, TGM, was nicely mentioned in it.
Blogger Brandy takes note of the post Amy wrote on the NEW! Mercedes BlueTech Hybrid due out (maybe) next year 2009. The BlueTech Hybrid by Mercedes is a first, as it combines two technologies with vision not yet available, both combined are innovative and yet to be seen in any vehicles let alone an SUV. Mercedes claims that the SUV Hybrid will make it to showrooms by 2009, but as of right now it is labeled a concept car.

AskPatty at "Ladies Who Launch"
Many women love cars, love the excitement of GETTING a new car, love the new car smell, love driving that car off the lot. But what many women HATE is everything that has to be done to get to that point, which is where Jody DeVere comes in. Jody is the CEO, president, and co-founder of AskPatty.com, a Web site geared toward helping women with everything automotive.

AskPatty at LABloggerGal "Whew, What a Yesterday!"
My favorite part of the whole event though, had to be the web savvy panel: the ladies from Ideal Bite, Ask Patty, Style Diary (and one more gal that writes for the Huffington Post - I didn't get a program and the LWL site wasn't updated with her info). I loved how they're all web-based, yet all have different business and advertising models. But more importantly, I love who they all supported the idea of blogging, getting yourself out there on social networks, and even using blogs instead of launching an out and out site (all what I preach!).

AskPatty at JDPower.com "Reaching Niches Online - Third Party Sites"
Third-party sites in particular go further in their pursuit of niches. AutoTrader recently rolled out its Lifestyle Central, with sections for Family Focus, Going Green, Smart Saver, Trend Watch, and Work & Play. The content for each section consists primarily of articles - often sourced from other sites (e.g. TheCarConnection, AskPatty) - and lists of relevant vehicles. The information is timely and useful, albeit pushed down in the site hierarchy and easy to miss.
