AskPatty Female Friendly Dealer Sue Seboda in the Maryland Gazette: "Women in Business Conference to showcase strides women are making"
When Nancy Regelin started the first Women in Business Conference with the Rockville Chamber of Commerce nine years ago, 109 businesswomen attended.

The business climate was different nearly a decade ago because women in prominent positions fell under the radar, Regelin said.

''It was very difficult to even find the women that were in business," Regelin said. ''They did not have a very high profile other than some of the service providers we dealt with on a day-to-day basis."

Jody DeVere in BBB Consumer Education: "Buying a New Car? Do the Homework First"
Paula Ebben with Boston's CBS4 reports that the "man's world" of car buying is changing thanks in part to advocate groups such as that coach car dealers on approaching female car buyers.

In an interview with Jody Devere creator of, Ebben found out that women "influence 85 percent of all automotive purchases" and "represent more than 50 percent of all new car buyers in the U.S." Yet many women still feel uncomfortable about the way they are treated at car dealerships.
