I am so excited about GM's latest cool accessory. We've just developed the Personal Audio Link — my new PAL — an affordable device that allows iPod users to integrate their music players with the factory installed audio system in GM vehicles. Just imagine... your tunes delivered through the clear, quality sound of GM's audio system.
It'll be available in Chevrolet HHRs beginning in October with 55 more GM vehicles to come, most by the end of 2007. You can pick it up at dealerships this fall for less than $160, plus installation.
The device will display artist, title and genre information from the iPod on the vehicle's radio display. Users will be able to sort, shuffle and seek songs as well as sort and select podcasts and audio books. You'll be able to control the iPod using the radio controls, and if your GM vehicle has steering wheel volume controls, those will work on the iPod, too.
People love their iPods and we think it's pretty cool to give people another way to enjoy them in their GM vehicles.
