Car Salesman Why Are They Like That?

Sky_saturn_1 I recently stopped by the Blogher convention that was held in San Jose, Ca. They had several beautiful cars there that you could test drive. I loved the look of the sporty convertible. Who would have thought it was a Saturn? Not me.

Have you ever read I enjoy reading her blog. Last week she was talking about Buying A Car In The Dark. So much came to mind while reading it. I bet all women have stories about car buying. I have been a professional outside salesperson for 20+ years. My cars have always been my offices. What I want to see first is the trunk, but the salesperson always wants to show my husband what's under the hood. I want an automatic, 4- door, with a big trunk. They want to sell my husband the new, fancy, "4 on the floor", 2 door, black hatchback.

Are they not listening??? Patti also talked about how the salesperson just kept on talking. Its a very hard thing to learn as a salesperson, that, whole listening thing, and when to be quiet. I was taught years ago to use my ears and my mouth in the proportion that God gave us. Two ears, one mouth. Listen more, talk less. That salesperson obviously didn't get it. Patti was hoping to drive away with the car of her choice that night. It doesn't sound like she did. She is having us tune in later for the rest of the story, so if you haven't read it yet, be on the lookout!
