Women drivers called to a challenge
Cancer
charity Marie Curie is calling all women drivers to test themselves at
the charity's Ladies Driving Challenge to be held on October 14th in
Newthorpe.
Women drivers, who may benefit from cheaper premiums as part of specialised car insurance for women, will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of vehicles such as quad bikes, off-road 4x4s and buggies.
Sue
Rowlett, Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraiser said: "This event is all
about women joining together for a fun day out and every person taking
part will be actively helping to fund the Marie Curie Nurses in
Nottinghamshire, whose free nursing care helps cancer patients to make
the choice to be cared for at home."
The cost for entering the event is £20 and entrants must raise at least £100 in sponsorship.
Earlier this week, car purchase advisory website AskPatty found that women now influence 80 per cent of all car purchases.
