The success of Dean's Automotive, Inc. can be attributed to our employees who are dedicated to one

In addition, they have been rigorously tested and certified by ASE, the recognized authority in the U.S. for automotive technician certification. Constant training and certification keep our technicians current with the ever-changing automobile industry.
Warren McCord, Owner
Warren's love for cars began as a teenager when he worked on cars with his dad and older brother. This eventually led to his involvement with racing Formula Ford, Formula Atlantic, and Formula Continental in the SCCA racing circuit from 1975 to 1991, where he won many 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies.
During that same time, he put his college education with computers to use at Hewlett Packard, an experience that has given him an edge in understanding newer cars that are so dependent on computer technology. Between his racing and computer experience, as well as his commitment to ongoing education and over 15 years as a certified ASE Master Technician, Warren has a depth of knowledge about automobiles that is hard to match.
Warren McCord opened business as Warren McCord Motorsports in 1979, where he began to earn a reputation for excellence with both his customers and his peers in the automotive industry. His professionalism, knowledge and experience put him in the top tier of independent auto repair shop owners.
In January 2003, Warren saw the opportunity to grow his business when Dean's Foreign Car, a Mountain View establishment since 1963, came on the market for sale. In partnership with his wife, Donna, Warren merged McCord Motorsports with Dean’s Foreign Car under the new business name of Dean’s Automotive, Inc.
Donna McCord, Co-owner
Donna has worked in the automotive industry with Warren since 2002. For more than 10 years before that, she worked as a marketing communications manager in the high tech industry, and another 5 years as a direct marketing consultant. After purchasing Dean’s Automotive, she and Warren decided that both her marketing and management experience would be an asset to the company. She also enjoys working as the resident Human Resources department and customer service champion.
Donna emphasizes, “Owning a small business, especially in the automotive industry, is a huge challenge. There are many car owners who have a negative perception about our industry, and we are passionate about improving that perception.” She continues, “We are committed to providing excellent automotive and customer care, a large part of which includes educating our customers about what it takes to keep their vehicles reliable and safe as possible. It also includes employing only the very best technicians and service advisors, and providing them with ongoing training as long as they work for us.”
George Norton, Service Advisor
Born in Woodstock, Illinois, George has always loved working with people. His first professional career was as a Chef. Recognized at the age of 18 for his talents, George landed a coveted position in the kitchen of the Sheraton Palace Hotel in San Francisco — at the time one of the top 5 hotels in the world. Developing an allergy to cleaning solutions in the kitchen, George had to seek another career. He had grown up around cars and enjoyed restoring Model A’s with his father in their garage at home. So it became natural for him to seek a career in the automotive industry. After 18 years of working in major dealerships, he saw an online ad for a position at Dean’s Automotive. According to George, the title of the ad “We are Looking for Someone Our Customers Will Love” motivated him to apply, and he has been with Dean’s ever since.
George is also a dedicated family man and enjoys the outdoors, camping, boating and hiking with his wife and 4 kids. He is also passionate about coaching youth sports, as well as following all types of sports activities.
