A Three Generation Heritage of Automobile Sales and Service
"Automobile Sales and Service Rich In Values"
The Bush family has been selling automobiles since 1918. Just ten years after Henry Ford started producing his Model T Ford, Tom Bush, Sr. opened the Bush Family's first automobile dealership in Graetna, Louisiana.
Tom Bush, Sr. joined Henry Ford in his vision of an "automobile for everyone" that was dependable, versatile, and affordable. By participating in this momentous development of both affordability and technological availability, Tom Bush, Sr. contributed to changing the face of American Society, during the first twenty years of retail car sales, in which car ownership became a reality for most individuals.
America became an automobile based culture; cars gave everyone the freedom to travel whenever and wherever they wanted. After World War II, automobiles allowed middle-class Americans to begin to develop and populate the newly desired suburbs.
Tom Bush, Sr. remained in the automobile business until 1953, at which time he and his wife retired after thirty-five years. During that time Tom Bush, Jr. grew up, spent four years serving his country as an officer in the Navy during World War II, and married his high school sweetheart, Laura Russ.
In 1946, Tom Bush, Jr. opened his first dealership in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where his parents had owned their latest dealership. After selling and servicing the southwestern U.S. until 1970, Tom Bush, Jr. took the opportunity to move to Jacksonville, Florida and open a Volkswagen dealership.
Tom Bush III joined the family business as a Management Trainee in 1972, learning about the car business from the ground up. After spending twenty years with the Company, Tom III left in 1992 to pursue a career in teaching, utilizing and further developing his natural people skills.
John P. Bush, the current General Manager, came to Tom Bush Regency Motors in 1986 after pursuing his interest in computers and business management. John brought with him his specialty of maximizing business applications of computers to the car industry. John Bush has expanded our customer base, and navigated the company successfully into today's competitive business environment. He has improved the services available on-site to our customers and refined the process through which our customers continue to receive the finest service available provided by the Bush family since 1918.
Tom Bush, Sr. started the family tradition of being a "people person". He loved to interact with his customers, regaling them with stories of the automobile, and assurances that they would be satisfied with their purchase.
Today, we still pride ourselves on our people orientation. And this doesn't mean just our customers. We treat our employees, our manufacturers, and our service suppliers with the same fairness, respect and courtesy. We believe that it is preferable to do business in an environment that is both pleasant and fair, not filled with tension or conflict, but an environment in which everyone wins.
We want you to feel so good about coming to see us, that sometimes you just come back to visit. You'll find this same great service from our Parts Departments, our Service Departments, our Body Shop, and both New and Used Car Sales Departments.
Whether you were buying a car from Tom Bush, Sr. in 1918, or you are purchasing a car today from Tom Bush Regency Motors, honesty and integrity have been, and are still today, the cornerstones of this family's three-generation heritage of automobile sales and service. A confrontation-free relationship is our goal. To the consumer, this means a lot more today than it might have earlier this century. In the 1920s and for many years thereafter, there was less concern from most car dealers about values and customer service because standards were lower. Automobile sales were viewed with enthusiasm sometimes not seen today, because automobiles offered a change in the way of life.
Today, at Tom Bush Regency Motors we still can offer you a change in your way of life. Whether you're looking for a new car or pre-owned car, our staff will always treat you with the highest regard. We want you as our customers over and over again. So, rather than focus on a short-term gain just for the benefit of our company, we always look for a way to satisfy both our business necessities and our customer's needs.
Our guarantee to you is that our family integrity dictates that we treat each of our customers honestly and fairly. If for any reason you feel that you have received a level of customer service that you are not comfortable with, let us know. We will do everything in our power to rectify the situation and make sure that your are a satisfied customer. Thank you for doing business with Tom Bush Regency Motors, a heritage of honesty, integrity, and fine service.
