"Our Family Story"
Al Estrada entered the automotive industry at a young age. His love for cars led him to his first job in the industry at age 18 in 1983. As a Paint Prepper at Wyatt’s Paint & Body in San Bernardino, CA, Al gained the skills necessary to produce the highest quality vehicle repairs. By 1985, Al was the lead painter for Wyatt’s. In 1987, the love for custom painting provided an additional interest in painting automobiles. Custom painting allowed Al to match his artistic abilities with his love for cars.
In 1995, Al decided to take his skills to the Las Vegas Valley. As the Paint Shop Manager at Fletcher Jones Toyota, Al successful ran a crew of X amount of employees that painted over 200 per month.
In 2000, Al could not fight his passion for custom painting and his entrepreneurial spirit. Thus, he opened his first business – Estrada Kustoms. Estrada Kustoms specialized in custom colors and graphics. Several custom projects were featured in nationally published magazines.
In 2004, Al decided to further his business growth by transitioning his custom shop into a full collision repair facility. Determined to create a collision shop that is different than every other shop, Al opened Family Auto Body. With a 5,000 square foot building and 3 employees, Al began to create a repair facility that put the customer and the vehicle first. Customers would be viewed as friends and family (hence the name Family Auto Body). Word spread quickly and Family Auto Body began to grow.
By 2008, Family Auto Body had outgrown the 5,000 square foot building. So, in December 2008, Family Auto Body moved to their existing location at 440 W. Sunset Rd in Henderson. The 17,000 square foot building is complete with 2 paint booths, a paint mixing room, 2 frame measuring systems, a frame bench, a mechanical lift and 12 technician bays. The facility has grown from its original 3 employees to ten.
Despite the success, Al has stayed true to his passion for being different. The shop culture of going the extra mile is engrained in every employee. Employees are viewed as family members. With every family member focused on providing an exceptional customer experience and every car receiving extra care.
Every customer is considered a family member as well. At no additional cost, customers are offered a complete interior and exterior car wash at time of delivery, an additional wash and hand polish 1-2 months after repairs, customer pick up and delivery, free mechanical diagnosis, paint touch up and buff with any repair, accident scene assistance, insurance claim handling assistance (provided by a claims professional), and roadside assistance. The office is complete with free refreshments and snacks, children books and toys, a wide assortment of magazines and the friendliest staff.
