I am considering a 2003 Cadillac DHS. I'm worried about typical failures/reliability with this make/model. any warnings of what to look for? I want to replace the air suspension shocks with regular shocks. can I do this? This is one of the common failures for this model that I have heard of.

When my car hits a bump, the steering wheel shakes violently. It has since disappeared, but a mechanic noticed that a piece of what looks like the suspension is disconnected on the passenger front side (under the car) and connected on the driver side.
