I*m not sure if this is the right site to ask this. I have a Mercury Mountaineer, *01 5.0 AWD. I bought it used through Matt Blatt. They offered a deal with the purchase for "Free tires for life". As long as I bring it in to them exclusively for tire rotation and balance every eight thousand miles, they would replace the tires free of charge for the life ...
Our 03 Civic, 116k miles, needs new struts. Mechanic says it will cost $1,000+, not counting replacing tires that may be too worn due to the old (original) struts. Also that with strut replacement it will need new alignment. 1. Is all this true? 2. Is $1,000-$1,200 fair or a ripoff?

My mechanic has tried different things but still does the same. What do you think it can be?

I own a 30 ft Class A Storm by Fleetwood Motorhome. I need to have some mechanical work done but do not know who to trust. Can you help me with this problem?
I have a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. The horn started going off, so a mechanic took off the steering wheel cover so he could caught off the horn. He claims the cover was broken. He also claims that the dealer would have to sell me the whole thing instead of just the cover, which would be about $400.00. I know I saw a cover on-line, but do not remember where. ...
