I have been smelling gas after driving my car and turning the engine off. Burnt gas. I went to a mechanic and he said something about a valve or transmission or something like a gasket leaking. He fixed it but I still smell it. I don't want to take it back to him b/c he showed poor workmanship. Can you tell what is going on from what I telling you.
hello, What is the labor rate for auto mechanics in the state of NJ. I had a fuel pump replaced on my car and I feel like I was ripped off. It cost me $963. $600 GM parts $300 labor.
A few weeks ago I had my brakes repaired and my exhaust replaced. Ever since my car has been back from the shop, The rear driver side tire area has been making a clicking/clacking sound related to how fast I'm driving (driving slower, clicks are further apart, etc...). It stops when I push the brake pedal, and it usually disappears once I am going over 40 ...
My6 wheels are squealing when I apply the brakes. I took the car to a mechanic and he checked it and could find nothing wrong and said maybe dust got in them. This doesn't seem right although he has been my mechanic for years. Is this true about the dust?
I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla. I had the oil pan and gaskets replaced last year 11/07 to be exact.. Just recently I was told by the same mechanic I had a terrible oil leak (that didn't show on the ground because it was being absorbed by the gaskets / rings) and I needed to get the oil pan and gaskets replaced. I did and 340.00 later I come across a receipt ...
I had the fuel pump on my 2000 Chevy Suburban replaced. When I got the car back my gas tank was almost empty it had 140 worth of fuel in it. couldn't the mechanic put the fuel back? or did they keep it for themselves?
Hi, Can you please provide me some information regarding local BMW certified car mechanics in lansing area,MI. I dont want to go to the dealer /showroom as they charge incredibly high amounts on everything. Thanks
