Is it important to the life of your fuel pump to keep your fuel tank level at or above 1/4 full? My friend says modern cars have an in-tank fuel pump and gasoline acts as a coolant. Low levels in the tank reduces the cooling effect and the pump wears out quicker. This sounds ridiculous to me, is he correct?
Whenever I start my car, I smell a strong smell of gasoline. I looked under the car and there is no evidence of leaks. I also turned on the car and looked under the hood and did not see any obvious leaks. What do I do, or how can I get rid of the smell?!
The premium gasoline grade is recommended for Toyota Land Cruiser, but can it drive well with the regular unleaded gasoline? I know the Cadillac Escalade does.

I have a 2008 focus and it has 12,000 miles I change the oil every 3,000 and check the rest drive with care, but all of the sudden it trembles when it is in park and when driving with the a/c.
