My car has 26,000 miles on it, and my dealership (who I always take my car to for oil changes) is recommending their "major service" appointment, that covers all my filters (except hepa), fluid check, rotate and balance tires, adjust parking brake, inspect/replace spark plugs, coolant service, etc. They want about $400 for all this, plus another $90 for ...
After I drive for a while the low coolant light comes on. There is enough coolant in the surge tank. If I turn the engine off and re-start it, the light will go off for a while and then come on again. The engine is the 3.0 DOHC V6 Duratec.
Hi Patty, Terry Cruz had recommended you for some quick auto advice(I work with her). This afternoon I was on my way home and hit the service station. Came out and started the car, the temp gauge was about mid level and I just sort of went.."hmm". It went right back down once driving...then the Low Coolant light came on. Got home and let the car cool ...

I started using the ac 2 weeks ago, now my coolant is ...
Hello. A year and a half ago my car's RPM meter would spike when I wasn't accelerating and eventually my car just wouldn't start. I took it in and found out that the thermostat and ect sensor were faulty. I had them repaired, and the coolant flushed, but now, a year and a half later, my car has the exact same problem. How long do these parts generally last? ...
My car was serviced recently and the coolant temperature sensor and the coolant level sensor were changed to new ones. When I drive the temp gauge still shows running hot and goes all the way red and sometimes beeps. As I drive it goes up and down especially at stop lights where I put it in neutral then it does not move.
Is it important to the life of your fuel pump to keep your fuel tank level at or above 1/4 full? My friend says modern cars have an in-tank fuel pump and gasoline acts as a coolant. Low levels in the tank reduces the cooling effect and the pump wears out quicker. This sounds ridiculous to me, is he correct?
