I just bought my car from a private owner and want to go get the car checked out, I just do not know what to check or ask for, plus I am limited on money being a single mother. The car sounds like it runs fine but at times it feels like it is skipping gears and the brakes shake the car slightly when I press down on them.
Can a mechanic damage the hub assembly while repairing the brakes?
My van has been starting to make a whining noise. When I take my foot off the accelerator and let it roll the rest of the way to the corner even before I touch the brakes & hear this wind down noise. I thought it was my tires so I had them rotated. But it is still doing it. It kind of sounds like RRRRrrrrr. What do you think it is? I would just like an idea ...
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer edition). We changed all brake pads and front calibers. I lost all brakes. The peddle goes all the way to the floor. Any clue on what it could be. Oh yeah and I do not see any leaks anywhere.
Hi, My 2000 Honda accord has done 72,000 miles. I just got the inspection done all ok. However, I was told to change my rear disk brakes soon. I have never had the brakes changed. Should I change front and rear brakes, or only the rear ? Also , should I get the timing belt changed, or can I wait till 100k miles. Thanks,
Hello, how are you? Every time I press on my brakes it feels weird and makes a horn sound. I am very concerned that when I take my car in I will either be cheated or overcharged for the repair. I want to know please where to go and how much I should be charged.
