My beater Honda has 207,400 miles on it and is probably is not worth much more than $2000 because of the cosmetic condition inside and out. It needs a new timing belt and rear struts. I just had new front brakes put in for $560. Three estimates average the work for the timing belt/water pump, and struts out to be about $1150. At this point I am not sure ...

My brakes seem overly sensitive. They almost lock up, and the tires seem to skid one or two feet before stopping the vehicle. I thought it was from sand on the road, but there was no sand the second time it happened.
