Dear Patty, I have a 04 Dodge truck with 60,000 miles. Recently, the brakes failed and it was discovered that the fluid was contaminated. A complete brake replacement was performed. Only one place has done my oil changes and I feel that someone added something incorrectly. The break down was 6 weeks after my last oil change. I am waiting for lab ...
My 1994 Honda Civic has ABS Brakes and the pump makes noise. The dealership told me even if the pump fails I will still have brakes. They also said it would cost over $1000 to replace the pump. My question is (1) will I still have brakes? and (2) is it worth replacing such an expensive part on such an old car?
I needed brake repair work on my 2003 Acura TL, rear and front. Ihave antilock brakes. I had a friend who is a mechanic do the work. I believe he ground the rotors and not replaced them. He changed the oil and filter and replaced air filter. The cost was $440. Did I save money like promised?

My brakes make a scraping sound as I am driving until I press on the brake pedal. The sound stops and then resumes as I accelerate.

He changed a sensor for the brakes and this did not fix the problem. He could find no problem with the brakes themselves. The problem never occurs at high speeds when braking, ...
My 1997 Ford Crown Vic has 210K miles. In the past 6 months I put $2K in repairs into it (shocks, brakes, tires) Now the trans is acting up - stays too long in 1st gear before shifting. My mechanic says a Jasper rebuilt trans(75K/3yr warranty) will cost $2900 which is about $500 more than even Jasper says the total job should cost. A local rebuilder ...
