Generally speaking, how long do front hub assembly & bearings last?
Can they be damaged by abuse? (my truck was stolen and recovered two month ago - found stripped in the desert)
I have a F-350 with 54,000 miles & have had to replace both sides on the front end.

We have moved to a new town. I've recently had my 1997, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 6 cylinder, 2 wheel drive, serviced by a Jeep dealer. I have 128,000+ miles on this car and have been the sole owner, have had great service prior to my move from an independent car mechanic.

i have a slight ticking noise from the passanger side when i drive and when i hit the brakes the noise goes away.
while driving straight makes the ticking noise turning noise goes away untill steering is straight again.can that be the hub bearings ??

2005 ford f350 automatic 5.4 liter. code p0022 intake camshaft position timing - over retarded (bank 2) . does this mean I just need to advance the timing? When truck gets hot there is a clattering noise. I have been told by a service advisor that it needs to be inspected for damage to the cam bearings and if so i will need new cylinder head(s).
My car is making a noise while when I drive - not in idle. It is not high pitched. One repair shop said it was probably wheel bearings - does this sound logical?
