When I press the brake pedal on my Honda Accord, the brake lights and the parking lights come on, as well as the brake tail lamp light on the dash. I have 1989 Honda accord Lxi, I was driving n had to turn around n engine revved up n motor hot n transmission would not engage! I let car cool down n it would engage fine. ... so can engine over heating cause transmission to not work or can tranny not working cause motor to overheat?
I have a 1989 Honda Accord LX (carbureted) and when the car has sat for a more than (3) hours it has a hard time getting enough power for the car to get up to 2000 RPM's (It needs to in order to warm up then the idle is supposed to drop off which it does once it warms up). The car shudders and really fights to get the idle up I have a new battery.
