Hi, I*ve been told by my (usually trusted) mechanic at Toyota that my transmission fluid is dirty (black) and I need a trans. fluid flush. I have a *94 Camry with just under 200,000 miles, and I*ve been reading about this. Some sources say it*s a definite no-no to do a flush, especially on a high-mileage car because you*re forcing fluids out through the ...
My \*99 Audi Avant A4 Quattro needs its 90,000 mi. service at the cost of $2,200, in addition to about $600 worth of repairs to a tie end (there\*s a pronounced noise when the wheels turn). My question is: Is it worth putting so much money into a 1999 Audi? My son could use the car, but I wonder if the car\*s age makes it likely that many more expensive ...
My 1994 Honda Civic has ABS Brakes and the pump makes noise. The dealership told me even if the pump fails I will still have brakes. They also said it would cost over $1000 to replace the pump. My question is (1) will I still have brakes? and (2) is it worth replacing such an expensive part on such an old car?

Help me!! For the love of Pete (or in my case Chris), we can*t figure out what is wrong with my 1993 Honda Civic LX. Five years ago we took it in (to a "reputable" repair shop) for routine maintenance as we were planning a road trip from Baltimore to Montreal to see the Canadian Grand Prix. We get the usual, tire rotation, oil change, etc. and are told ...
My car is a 1998 Grand Prix-has 114,000 miles onit-just started making a sound like an airplane-don\*t know how else to describe it! Goes along with jumping rpm\*s....temp gage shows its still cooling ok....any idea what it could be? Thanks!
I just purchased a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. I runs hot...I think. I*m not sure if it really is or not because it goes up and comes back down. Driving interstate speeds or at a stoplight, it just kinda does what it wants. No leaks that I can find. Popped up the low coolant light yesterday, by time I pulled over to check the light went off. Happened ...
