Hi Ladies - In about a year my lease will be up on my gas-guzzling Jeep Grand Cherokee. I want to do either the hybrid thing or at least get something fuel efficient. I need a decent cargo room 'cause I have two big dogs. If there's any accepted wisdom on hybrids that you all have I'd be happy to hear it. I'm also trying to be somewhat economical on ...
My front brakes were noisy and I took my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a look. What was supposed to be a "99.00" brake job has suddenly become a $600+ brake overhaul. The service adviser is telling me I need calipers, hoses, brake rotors, and pads. This sounds extreme for a vehicle with less than 50,000 miles. What do you think?

We have moved to a new town. I've recently had my 1997, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 6 cylinder, 2 wheel drive, serviced by a Jeep dealer. I have 128,000+ miles on this car and have been the sole owner, have had great service prior to my move from an independent car mechanic. The (new) dealer/service dept. recommends repairs to a cracked exhaust manifold ...
I have a '90 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. I've had some financial problems the past few years so my car has been sitting in my garage for the better part of 5.5 yrs. Prior to that it ran GREAT. Has around 32k miles, most of which were on it when purchased around '98. At one point the steering column became very loose and I just quit driving it. Three yrs ago a ...
I have a 2000 Jeep Frand Cherokee - My heater went out. The work needed to fix was a blend door and actuator. Cost about $850 from my mechanic. I understand Jeep would have charged $1200. I have read that this happens all the time with Jeep and that it actually should have been a recall item but Jeep didn*t want to fork out that much money. Should I ...
