How do you install TPS on a 1998 Saturn SL1

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. The throttle position sensor is a remove and replace type of part. Once you have located it, you will need to unplug the wiring terminal, remove the mounting screws, and take the sensor off of the throttle body. Simply replace the part with the new TPS and reverse the removal procedure for installation. You can find more information and videos online, or find a repair manual for the vehicle that can help you locate and replace the TPS. Good luck!
