Was trying to communicate with someone about truck I have an engine light on that’s saying cam shaft timing change and knock sensor, should I replace the whole engine and if so can you help me locate one.
Hello,
Thank you for writing in. Bad timing can cause an engine knock. Replacing the engine may not be necessary if you simply have a timing issue. Start by having the timing checked and adjusted. See how the vehicle runs after those timing adjustments and potential repairs before you attempt to replace the engine. We are not able to help you find a new or used engine for your vehicle, but our certified AskPatty.com technicians near you can likely help you with your timing issues and potential engine swap. Good luck!
