How to replace headlight bulb

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Jessica Howe, Automotive Expert & Coach at AskPatty.com

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. The headlight bulb is locked into place in the headlight housing. Access the headlight housing from the back, either under the hood or from behind the tire. Remove the bulb's electrical terminal from the back of the headlight bulb, which should be held in place with a small plastic clip. From there, the headlight should rotate and come out. The old bulb can be removed, and the new bulb put in its place. Remount the bulb into the housing, connect the electrical terminal, and test the headlight. Good luck!
