My Jaguar starts, but does not accelerate.

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. If the vehicle does not move at all when it is put into drive or reverse, then you may have an issue with the transmission. If the vehicle moves, but is limited to a very slow speed, then the vehicle may have entered limp mode. This is a safety feature that limits the engine's power so that an issue the computer has detected doesn't do more damage. The vehicle will have to be scanned for diagnostic codes in order to determine what caused it to enter limp mode. You may also be referring to a general lack of acceleration, as if the car simply doesn't accelerate like it used to. This can be caused by a number of things, including dirty fuel injectors, bad spark plugs, a bad air/fuel ratio, a faulty sensor, or another type of electrical issue. Only further information would allow us to help diagnose the issue further. Good luck!
