The instrument panel on the dash for the transmission doesn't light up so I can't see what gear I'm in. Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. The gear indicator may simply have a blown fuse or a bad bulb. Start by checking for a blown fuse. It is the easier repair, but not necessarily the most common cause. Then look into changing that bulb, which has to be accessed by removing the dash panels. The benefit to accessing the back of the instrument panel is that you can inspect the wiring and terminals for any obvious signs of physical damage. Good luck!
