is it a good thing to put car in neutral when i am at red light or its fine to keep in drive mode

Thank you for writing in. You raise a good question. You do not need to put an automatic transmission into neutral when at a stop. The automatic transmission is well equipped to handle being stopped at red lights. It is better to put it in park when at a prolonged stop, but not necessarily into neutral unless you want to continuously apply the brakes. By putting the vehicle in neutral at every stop light, you are only wearing down the shift linkage and gears.
