My Honda Fit has a very strong gas odor. I have had it looked at twice at a Honda repair shop and they say that they checked over the fuel lines and everything and found no problems, yet the very strong gas odor continues. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. Considering that other technicians have looked over the fuel system and cannot find any issues, you are likely dealing with something in a different part of the engine besides the fuel delivery system. Other Honda Fit owners have complained of a fuel smell coming from a loose spark plug. They report simply replacing their spark plugs and made sure the plugs were tightened correctly and the smell went away. It would explain why a technician wouldn't be able to locate a leak or an issue with any of the fuel components. Good luck!
