I have a 2003 Hyundai sonata that has 108k which will be paid off feb/March 2019. I had to repair to engine belts last.month and then oil gasket cover in which I had to repair and have to keep my eye on the oil every week and get the oil change every so often NOT BY THE NORMAL MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE EITHER. So I looked at a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 s model very good clean condition where I bought my Hyundai from it has 160k for $3500. But the dealership said they had no problem with the car only a light fuse buld replaced and oil change was fully completed. Do you think I should move into the nissan???
Thank you for writing in. The trade you are looking to make is likely not your best option. Trading in your current vehicle for one with higher miles isn't often a good investment. If you are looking to purchase a used vehicle, you want to aim for something with miles closer to your current model or fewer. Nissan Altimas do have a good reputation, but vehicles with that many miles tend to start having suspension, axle, transmission, and other mechanical issues. Keep searching.
