My stero on the screen is reading Disk read error check disk. I cannot make it go away. All of the functions on the stereo work, and the CD changer in the glove box is empty. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. Several things can go wrong with a CD player in order for it to give you an error code. Many others RX 300 owners have made similar complaints about their stereo systems. You can try resetting the stereo by turning "Shipping Mode" on and back off. Here is a forum that explains the process very well:

If this doesn't work, you may want to take the vehicle to a Lexus dealer so they can try to reset the radio. If it is not a programming issue, further inspection will be needed to pinpoint the issue. Good luck!
