Hello,

Thank you for writing in. Standby mode turns off the anti-theft system, and makes it impossible to track the vehicle. It may also keep you from using the key fob by default. Check your owner's manual for more information about standby mode. If there is an error, there are a couple things you can try. The key may have a dying battery, or it may need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle. Good luck!
