Hello, Replaced camshaft and now the car is barely running (have to give it a lot of gas). I can’t afford a code scanner and I replaced my spark plugs to be sure not sure what else to look for. Can you assist?
Hello,
Thank you for writing in. After you take off the valve cover to get to the camshaft, you introduce a lot of room for error. There is a large list of things that you would have to test and go over in order to find the issue. The best way to start diagnosing your problem is to retrace your steps, Go over every plug, sensor, hose, and component that was taken off. Make sure that your valve cover has been torqued back to manufacture specifications. Also double check your timing.
