Hi my car was driving fine and then last night when I stopped for gas it would turn over at all, though everything else operated by the battery was fine. The car was almost out of gas. After about 12 times out of now here it started. This morning it wouldn’t. I does this sound like a blown engine or transmission

Hello,

Thank you for writing in. The fact your car started acting up right after you almost ran it out of gas may indicate that the pump is failing. When the fuel pump has to work too hard to try and take in gas that is not there, it can burn itself out. You can listen for the fuel pump when you turn the key to the "On" position. If you do not hear a buzzing sound coming from the fuel tank, then the pump is not turning on. Further testing will be needed.
