Hello,

Thank you for writing in. The price is not dramatically expensive for the work being done. Depending on the line that needed to be replaced, the part alone can range upwards of $150. You then have to consider time for labor. The price may seem steep, but when it gets broken down it makes more sense. You will want to look over the bill or estimate to see how much they are charging you for the parts and the labor. You may also want to call around to see what other shops in the area are charging for that type of work. Check into the warranty you receive with the work as well. Transmission work should always come with a warranty, even if they are not directly servicing the inside components. Good luck!
