Putting the wrong fuel type in your car will result in the need to drain and flush the fuel system. The fuel tank needs to be dropped, emptied, and cleaned. The fuel lines will need to be drained, and the fuel filter will need to be replaced. There are many other components in your fuel system that can be affected, but they may not need to be serviced unless you experience more issues.

Unfortunately, we cannot give you an exact price for what these repairs would cost. Every repair center has its own hourly charge for this type of work, and then there is the possibility of needing parts. You are likely looking at several hundred dollars worth of work at the least, just to flush the fuel system. If there has been any other damage, which you have a 50/50 chance of, then that bill will go up. This is a repairable mistake, but you need to get the diesel out of the engine and fuel system immediately.
