Hello I have a 2014 kia forte5 hatchback. I am looking to trade it in for a much needed work truck. However i am upside-down around 6000 on the car. The car on kelly blue book is worth between 7500 to 8500, and currently i owe about 15000 on the loan (Bad choices) i know, now in order to get out of this upside-down loan and get the work truck that i need, (work truck is $14000 2010f150) i will need to come up with 5000 in order to knock off most of the upside-down debt. However i have an extended warranty on the car that i want to cancel and get a refund on after the trade in. I Already contacted my car dealer and they told me that the prorated refund for the warranty is 2600, unfortunately i no longer live in the same state that the dealership is in (4 states away) they directed me to call the warranty group which holds the warranty. Already contacted them and they told me to supply them with the warranty information in order for me to get my refund. My question is, after i trade in the car for the truck will i still be able to get the warranty refunded? The refund from the warranty will greatly help pay myself back for the big down payment. My budget for a truck is around $3000, so $5000 down will totally be fine in order to get from out of this upside-down loan IF i get refunded the 2600 Hope this makes sense Thanks
