Hello,

There are several possible causes for your symptoms. The first is that you have a failing compressor, which gets its power from the drive belt driven by the engine. When you come to a stop, the engine provides less power, and the compressor may not be able to function at lower RPMs. Secondly, there is a chance that your condenser is clogged and not able to push enough air through it when you are a stop. Check the drive belt, compressor, and the condenser if needed. Contact your local AskPatty.com Certified Female Friendly shop for an inspection.
