So I just got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube, and they said my car, a GMC Terrainm has a crack in the rear axle. I live in New Jersey. What can I expect this repair bill to run in parts and labor?

Thank you for writing in. However, we cannot give you pricing information from the shops in your area. The easiest way to compare prices is to have several shops write you up an estimate. Some shops can quote the repair over the phone, while others will want to look at the vehicle to verify the issue first. Get quotes from at least 3 different shops, and do not let them talk you into doing repairs until you have the quotes in hand. Keep in mind, choosing the lowest priced quote does not always mean you are getting the best service. Find the shop you are most comfortable with.
