I have an 05 Subaru Forester AWD. I checked the tranny fluid level per owners manual. It states at cold temp it should register between the L and F on the cold side on dipstick. It was below the L so I added enough to bring it up. Then I drove the car until it was hot, and checked it again at hot temp. The manual says it should register around the F on the hot side. It was still registering in the cold. I kept adding fluid until it was registering at the F on the hot side per manual. I went out earlier while engine was cold again, and it still registered on the F on hot side. Do I need to drain some out to bring it back down to the F on cold temp side?
