Are all water pumps for Honda Civic 2001 the same?

Thank you for writing in. Not all water pumps you can get for your vehicle will be the same. They will be manufactured by different companies and vary in quality, among other things. Make sure you include the trim (DX, LX, HX, or EX) when looking for a replacement water pump. You want to try and get a part that meets OEM standards, meaning that it is build according to Honda's specifications.

Always compare parts before you install them. Make sure bolt patterns are the same, that new gaskets fit properly, and that the replacement part is compatible in size and design with the old one. Good luck!
