The catalytic converter in my car (automatic) is failing. My brother says I don't need one for a while. His as been failing in his Honda SUV (older manual) . My mechanic (woman friendly) says the negative backpressure can damage the engine. My car is bucking if I have to accelerate quickly sometimes.
