Unable to locate idle air control valve on my 3.7L engine. It's NOT on the throttle body and is nowhere in sight in the Engine area. Is it inside the throttle body?

Hello, thank you for writing in. The idle air control valve is part of the throttle body. The 3.7-Liter engine uses an electric throttle control module to regulate the idle. If you have not already scanned the vehicle for diagnostic codes, it may verify that something is wrong with the electronic throttle control module, or the throttle itself. If you are having issues with it, the only option you have is to replace them most of the time. They can become dirty and need cleaning.
