I have a 2001 Honda Accord, and I took the battery out for 2 hours then put it back, and now a small red light is flashing to the left of the steering wheel. The car won't start, but the battery seems to be fully charged, it won't crank front lights and back light star flashing It looks like it is an alarm, but I've tried to turn it off with the key locking and un locking, but nothing seems to work... Please can some one help?
Disconnecting the battery can activate the anti-theft system. Try using the following procedure to deactivate the system. If your vehicle is equiped with an aftermarket alarm, this may not work.
Insert the ignition key in the Accord's driver-side door lock.
Turn the key to the unlock position.
Turn the key to the lock position.
Turn the key back to the unlock position. The alarm should now be disabled.
Start your Honda Accord's engine and allow the vehicle to run for at least 10 minutes.
If this procedure does not work, you may need to have the vehicle towed to a qualified repair shop for further diagnostics.
