I have a Toyota Celica and this only happens when it is warm outside. After I had left my car outside for 3 hours, I started it and put it in drive and hit the gas, yet nothing really happens. The engine doesn't rev and the car does not accelerate. This continues for about 30 - 45 sec and then the car accelerates normally and drives perfect. I have an automatic transmission, no check engine light, all fluid levels are fine. It doesn't happen every time I start my car. The car has less than 111,000 miles but this has been happening for years.
Have put 2 new distributors on it will start up fun for about a mile then shut off?
